Have A Wizard Of A Time At The Libraries These HolidaysWith weeks of the school holidays still to go, the Latrobe City Library Service school holiday program may come as an absolute boon for primary school aged children, and no doubt many a parent looking for By Latrobe City - 16th January 2009 - Back to News activities to keep their charges amused.
Latrobe City’s children’s library officer, Noeline Grayden, said the holiday program provides activities for children in a fun and safe environment, with the theme for this holidays being ‘wizards’.
"A wizard themed story time features at 11am on Tuesday 13 January at the Morwell Library; at 11am on Wednesday 14 January at the Moe Library; and at 10.30am and 11.30am on Thursday 15 January at the Traralgon Library.
"Children will be able to listen to stories and participate in a fun craft activity," Ms Grayden said.
Ms Grayden added that on Tuesday 20 January, ‘Mr Winkle the Wizard’ will be performing a 45 minute magic show at the Morwell, Moe and Traralgon libraries.
"It’s a performance which is full of bubbling fun, brilliant colours and a lot of laughs.
"Mr Winkle the Wizard will undoubtedly win the hearts of the children. Mr Winkle caters for everyone’s interest with a combination of magic selected from around the globe, mixing it into a blend of humour that no one can resist," Ms Grayden said.
Mr Winkle the Wizard will perform at 10.30am at the Traralgon Library, 1pm at the Morwell Library, and at 2.45pm at the Moe Library.
This is a free event and is proudly sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
