Crime, Fantasy And History To Collide At Latrobe Libraries Author TalkAustralia’s queen of crime, author Kerry Greenwood, along with fellow authors David Greagg and Kylie Fox and Amanda Wrangles who write as AK Wrox, By Latrobe City - 22nd February 2012 - Back to News will talk fantasy, history, bold cats and sawtoothed bunnies at a lively event to be chaired by writer Lindy Cameron at the Traralgon Library on Saturday 25 February from 12 noon to 2pm.
Latrobe City libraries coordinator, Debbie Skinner, said that Kerry Greenwood was best known for her Phryne Fisher series of books.
"Kerry has written 20 Phryne Fisher books and the 1920s sleuth will make her television debut in the ABC television series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries on Friday 24 February. Kerry also writes historical fiction and will talk about her novels Out of the Black Land and the Delphic women trilogy: Medea, Cassandra and Electra.
"Joining Kerry on the panel will be David Greagg, author of Dougal’s Diary: one year in the life of a cat and writing duo AK Wrox who produced the fantasy spoof, Arrabella Candellarbra and the Questy Thing to end all Questy Things.
"When he is not writing David is a medieval warrior and accredited wizard, and AK Wrox turns out to be writers Kylie Fox and Amanda Wrangles. Host Lindy Cameron is the writer of adventure thriller Redback and the Kit O’Malley Mysteries, as well as co-author of the true crime books, Women Who Kill and Killer in the Family," Ms Skinner said.
"The audience will be treated to tales of the serious and funny lives of these authors who write about heroic adventures in ancient Egypt and Greece, modern kickarse spies, hilarious warrior chicks and gentleman cats.
"With such a combination of creative personalities on the panel the discussion should be energetic, informative and revealing. There will be author signings, book sales and door prizes, so we would welcome avid readers and budding writers to come along and join us," Ms Skinner concluded.
