Get Into Art!’ Open Day At The Gallery On Sunday The Latrobe Regional Gallery will unite with 36 other public galleries across the state this coming Sunday, 25 October, to offer Victorians free fun, adventure and inspiration during the annual ‘Get into Art!’ open day. By Latrobe City Council - 21st October 2009 - Back to News Among the highlights of the open day will be free children’s activities and giveaways – a perfect day out for the family.
Latrobe City’s arts director, Julie Adams, said the ‘Get into Art!’ open day gives visitors the chance to have a closer look into their local gallery, just one of a wide network of public galleries across the state.
"If you haven't visited your local gallery before, ‘Get into Art!’ is the perfect introduction. If you are a regular visitor, you will want to make the most of the special programs taking place on Sunday, designed to further connect visitors with the art on display."
‘Get Into Art!’ open day runs from 11am to 3pm. All activities are free and everyone is welcome to join in the festivities.
Latrobe Regional Gallery is located at 138 Commercial Road, Morwell, and is open Monday to Friday 10am-5pm, and on weekends 11am–4pm. The gallery is closed public holidays. Entry is free.
