A landslip on Kernot-Krowera Road causing considerable damage has been identified as a result of heavy rainfall over the past few months. This is a significant landslip that is currently unstable, and there are no viable temporary options to keep the road open, therefore the road has been temporarily closed for all road users in the interest of public safety. Torrential rain received in August 2022 led to a landslip on Kernot-Krowera Road causing considerable damage to the road Road rehabilitationWe are currently undertaking engineering and design work required to stabilise the ground and rectify the landslip. Once the design work has been finalised, rehabilitation works will commence. We appreciate that this temporary road closure may present an inconvenience to nearby properties and other road users, we ask for their patience during these times. Our community, residents and other stakeholders will be kept up to date via our website.
