The Wattleseed is Open!GippsTAFE recently officially opened their new training restaurant "The Wattleseed" at its new location at Dannys the Venue, Logan Park, Warragul. By GippsTAFE - 29th April 2002 - Back to News GippsTAFE recently officially opened their new training restaurant "The Wattleseed" at its new location at Dannys the Venue, Logan Park, Warragul.
60 people from the local hospitality industry and the Logan Park Management Committee attended the opening where hospitality students cooked and served finger food and drinks, demonstrating the skills they are learning at the restaurant.
"It was a very successful night, we are very happy with the relationship GippsTAFE has with the Logan Park Management Committee," said Doug Mullen, Coordinator of GippsTAFE’s Warragul Campus.
"It is a great venue for local industry to see what GippsTAFE has to offer."
Kim Allison, coordinator of the hospitality department said that the Wattleseed restaurant is now open to the general public on a Thursday evening and Friday lunch.
Dinner prices are $12 for three courses and $9.50 for two courses, and lunchtime prices are $10 for three courses and $7.50 for two courses and bookings can be made by calling GippsTAFE’s Warragul Campus.
"GippsTAFE’s Hospitality Department offers Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations) and Certificate IV in Hospitality (Food and Beverage Supervision)" said Ms Allison
"We also educate trainees and offer short courses for the hospitality industry and local people."
