Your Plans For San Remo, Newhaven And Cape WoolamaiBass Coast Shire Council needs your input on the Structure Plan for San Remo, Newhaven and Cape Woolamai. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 27th August 2007 - Back to News A draft Structure Plan has been developed in consultation with community. The aim of the Plan is to provide guidance for decisions on the future growth and development of these towns. A copy of the draft Structure Plan is on public exhibition until 28 September 2007.
Council’s Strategic Planning Coordinator, Lisa Dunlop said it is very important to get community feedback at this stage of the process.
"We know that people are very concerned about development in the Shire, particularly on Phillip Island," said Ms Dunlop.
"This is a way to ensure that the community has a say in how their towns will look in the future.
The call for feedback on the draft Structure Plan is another step in a series of consultation with the community.
"Consultation sessions were held in October 2006 and January this year," explained Ms Dunlop.
