Public meeting to discuss sealing Coongulla’s roads

Wellington Shire Council is inviting Coongulla residents and other interested parties to a public meeting on Friday 26 March to discuss a proposal to seal all the roads in the township.

The meeting is being held at Coongulla Hall and will start at 7.30pm.

The Council has received a number of requests from local residents to upgrade the roads, all of which are currently unsealed, and will discuss a proposal to do this under a Special Charge Street Construction Scheme.

Said Wellington’s Chief Executive Officer Lyndon Webb: "This is clearly an important issue for the residents of Coongulla and we are keen to do what can as a council to help. We would encourage all those interested in seeing the town’s roads sealed to go along to the meeting."
