The Big Ask

Local residents are being invited to put their minds to the test next month by competing to win the Genus V edition of the popular board game Trivial Pursuit in the Wellington Shire Council’s Big Ask competition.

By Wellington Shire Council - 21st April 2004 - Back to News

Sponsored by Hasbro Australia, the contest has been organised by the council’s library service as part of Just ask @ your library month. Simply collect a question sheet from any Wellington Library Branch from 1-31 May and complete the 20 questions with a ‘Big Ask’ theme. Entries close on 31 May and the winner will be drawn the following week.

Participants are encouraged to utilise the library’s facilities, including the catalogue and internet facilities, to aid their quest for the answers.

Said Wellington’s Mayor Jeff Amos: "The council is constantly looking at new ways to encourage the community, especially young residents, to make the most of its library services. The Big Ask competition is a great, fun way to introduce the invaluable facilities provided by our libraries to a wide audience."

More information about the competition is available from your local library branch or by calling Wellington’s Library Service on 1300 366 244.
