Treasure or trash? – let the valuer decideHave you ever wondered how much your old jewellery is worth or if your heirloom furniture is of importance? By Latrobe City Council - 2nd August 2005 - Back to News Next week, the Latrobe Regional Gallery is offering you the perfect opportunity to discover the value of your goodies.
From 11am to 4pm on Saturday 13 August, Gippslanders are invited to bring their fine and decorative arts to be assessed by the experts from Leonard Joel Valuers, the largest Australian owned and operated auction house with over 80 years experience.
Latrobe Regional Gallery Director, Louise Tegart, said that Warren Joel of Leonard Joel Australia will be conducting obligation-free market appraisals of jewellery, watches, paintings, silver, porcelain, collectables and furniture. "Furniture appraisals can be done from a photograph," Ms Tegart suggested.
"This is the perfect opportunity to find out what that special item is really worth and perhaps whether you are literally sitting on a small fortune."
The cost is $5 per item and there is a limit of five items per person.
The Latrobe Regional Gallery is located at 138 Commercial Road in Morwell.
