Do You Own A Micro Or Home Based Business?A micro and home based business network has been established for the Latrobe City Region By Gail Robertson - 13th August 2002 - Back to News If your answer is yes, then you will be interested to know that a Micro and Home Based Business Network has been established for the Latrobe City Region.
Why should you join the MHBBN? It’s good for business.
Networking is an excellent marketing tool that develops relationships with other business operators of a similar size. These relationships may lead to referrals. A client or customer who is referred by another business is a good client/customers to have. You don’t have to work hard to sell your product or service to them. You have already been recommended.
A Network Scenario
Lets say you attend a network meeting. At this meeting you meet Jim and exchange business cards. Three weeks later, Jim meets Joe and, upon discussion, finds that Joe is looking for a particular service or product. Jim remembers you from the Network meeting and passes on your details to Joe. Joe calls you. You now have acquired a new client/customer for your business. How much do you think this new customer/client is worth to your business? What if he stays a loyal customer for the next five years?
The ‘life time value’ of this new customer/client could be worth thousands of dollars to your business. This was because you joined a network and gave up an hour of your time every three months. Don’t forget, this is just one new contact you have made.
As a Micro and Home Based Business operator, networking is an important way to make some useful contacts. You will also keep up to date with the latest local business information. Networking is an excellent way to promote your business and acquire some new ideas along the way. Being a part of a Network can provide a support base for you and your business when problems arise.
Do you ever wonder how everyone else is doing out there? Find out. Join the Micro and Home Based Business Network.
