Water works open forum a success

They came, they saw and they left knowing a lot more about how ‘water works’ in the Bass Coast region. Westernport Water threw open its Newhaven office doors to the public at their annual open forum on Thursday, 19 November 2009.

The evening featured posters and displays as well as a chance to talk with Westernport Water’s executive team, and water and wastewater engineering specialists.

Westernport Water Managing Director, Murray Jackson, was pleased with the public response to the event.

"I am always interested to meet and hear from our customers," he said.

"We had many questions covering everything to do with water from recycling, desalination and accounts through to water conservation, the environment and Candowie Reservoir.

"Our team will be absorbing that feedback and using it in their future planning.

"My thanks to everyone who took the time to attend this event – our first, in what we hope will become a regular series."
