Paynesville Ambulance Receives 24-Hour Funding: IngramThird birthday celebrations for the Paynesville Ambulance branch received a welcome boost this afternoon, with an announcement that the service will be extended to 24-hour coverage later in the year. By Craig Ingram - 17th July 2009 - Back to News The Independent Member for Gippsland East, Craig Ingram, was on hand to celebrate with local paramedics, ambulance auxiliary members, school children and other members of the community.
Mr Ingram read a statement on behalf of the Minister for Health, Daniel Andrews, who was unable to attend.
"The additional ongoing funding for the extra service is most welcome and I congratulate the auxiliary for its hard work and members of the community for supporting the service and assisting with fundraising activities," Mr Ingram said.
"Extra services will assist the local branch in responding to call-outs in timely and efficient manner.
"I congratulate the Health Minister for committing the funding to enable this service to be expanded, and also contributing towards a new vehicle," Mr Ingram concluded.
