Small business festival underway in Latrobe City

This month Latrobe City is celebrating the importance of small business and Council is underpinning its commitment to the sector by providing a targeted program of development and networking opportunities.

Latrobe City Council’s mayor, Councillor Kellie O’Callaghan, said the small business community was the engine room of our regional economy.

"More people are employed by the small business sector than any other; the collective impact and contribution to our community is significant and should not be underestimated in our economic mix.

"This month we will be rolling out a festival program filled with opportunities to enhance and build upon local small business success.

Festival Program Highlights

  • 23 August – Small Business Bus & Your Business in a Digital World - short workshop
  • 24 August – Seminar – Flexible Working Arrangements
  • 29 August – Breakfast Seminar, Dee Madigan, ‘Why creativity matters in marketing'
  • 30 August – Effective Record Keeping for Small Business short workshop
  • 31 August – Small Business Festival Roadshow
  • 6 September – Keep the Cash Flowing – short workshop.

    "Our region is undergoing transition and small business will continue to be a vital local employer well into the future. Our priority is to grow and strengthen the local economy to provide ample opportunity for all residents to thrive."
