Intensive Swim Program Kicks Off The Holidays With A Splash Swimming Latrobe City’s Squirts swimming program will run over the school holidays at Latrobe Leisure centres in Churchill, Morwell and Moe Newborough. By Latrobe City - 6th April 2011 - Back to News The intensive program allows for children of all ages and swimming ability to benefit from five consecutive days of lessons, as well as a chance to have some fun in the pool.
Latrobe City’s leisure facilities leader, Tania Vermeulen, said that assessments for the program are free.
"When you book your child into the Squirts program, we will arrange a suitable time for an assessment, so that we can find the correct level for that child. This year, we are also limiting class sizes to ensure each child gets the maximum benefit from the program.
"We will cap the class size at five children, and classes will run in the mornings. Early booking is recommended as these classes are usually popular.
"Our Learn to Swim programs have record high attendance levels at the moment and we believe that is due to the quality of both our facilities and our instructors. At Latrobe Leisure, we believe learning to swim is one of life’s necessities and we take great pleasure in assisting people of all ages with learning this skill," Ms Vermeulen concluded.
Squirts will run at Latrobe Leisure Churchill and Moe Newborough from Monday 11 April to Friday 15 April. For more details phone Churchill on 5120 3888 or Moe Newborough 5135 8330.
