The council is inviting local youth, community groups and service providers to play a part in National Youth Week celebrations which will also include the launch of Project wot.tha - a new online initiative which will serve as a communication forum for the shire’s youth - workshops and competitions.

Any youth or groups keen to help shape this year’s event, with anything from assisting with the organisation and running of events, to joining the committee or just having a say on what they would like to see, are encouraged to participate. The council is also seeking interest from market stall holders who would like to have a presence at the festival.

National Youth Week 2005 is a joint initiative of Federal, Victorian, and Local Government and encourages almost 4 million young Australians aged 12-25 to participate in activities and live events.
