Community sessions rescheduled

The session planned for Wednesday, 2 June at the Bass Coast Aquatic and Leisure Centre has been postponed to Wednesday, 16 June and the session planned for Wednesday, 9 June at the Phillip Island Leisure Centre will now be held online.

Remaining flexible and adaptable

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari said that it is important to remain flexible and adaptable through these challenging times. "We want to ensure that we provide the community with the best opportunity to have their say on aquatics, as engagement with the community and stakeholders in the project is considered crucial and feedback received will be critical in shaping design and operations of both centres," Cr Tessari said.

The drop-in session on Wednesday, 9 June will be held online between 9.00am and 1.00pm. During the session, on each half hour, a Council officer will explain the concept plans in detail and then provide attendees the opportunity to ask questions and provide their thoughts.

Initial development of the 25m x 10 lane pool with access ramp could be redeveloped in the future if the balance tank for this pool was located at the eastern concourse end of the pool, a future 25m x 10 lane pool extension could be added to this pool by demolishing the wet deck and eastern pool wall to create a 50m length pool
