Latrobe Leisure Morwell Indoor Pool Reopens EarlyWith the best part of a week of the school holidays still left to be enjoyed, Latrobe Leisure has announced the reopening of the Morwell indoor pool two days ahead of schedule. By Latrobe City - 2nd October 2007 - Back to News The pool will reopen at 6am tomorrow, Tuesday 2 October, and will operate standard opening hours.
Latrobe City’s chief executive officer, Paul Buckley, said council is delighted that all works have been successfully completed and the pool is now fully operational.
"The temporary closure affected the main pool, toddlers’ pool, spa, sauna and family change-rooms and was necessary to allow repairs to be undertaken to a section of tiling on the floor of the main pool.
"While the school holidays were chosen for the works to be undertaken as this avoided impacting on the strongly patronised ‘learn to swim program’, we’re delighted to have the facility reinstated early for those still looking for school holiday activities," Mr Buckley said.
