Ministerial Taskforce project update now online

Latrobe City’s Chief Executive Officer today announced that a status update of all Ministerial Taskforce projects has been posted on the City’s website

By Latrobe City Council - 27th May 2002 - Back to News

Latrobe City’s Chief Executive Officer, Richard Hancock, today announced that a status update of all Ministerial Taskforce projects has been posted on the City’s website www.latrobe.vic.gov.au.

Mr Hancock said there had been considerable local interest in the progress of the Ministerial Taskforce’s work and Council would be updating information on a regular and ongoing basis so that citizens could keep up-to-date with projects.

"Whilst we all wish to see tangible evidence of physical works taking place, in many cases there are substantial planning and agency/community consultation issues that must be resolved prior to this occurring. Making information about these processes available on the website will allow the community to have a better understanding of the state of the various projects," Mr Hancock said.

"The Taskforce report has been prepared with latest information supplied by the State Government’s Liaison Officer and Council staff.

"Some of the smaller projects are now fully completed and over the next few months we expect to see more milestones achieved. Latrobe City Council will continue to ensure that it provides all possible support to the implementation of the Taskforce’s program," Mr Hancock concluded.
