  2. Wednesday 2 - 6pm (all year around) or
  3. 10am - 6pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (ie opening during lunch).

An amazing 288 responses were received! The majority of those surveyed (46.9 percent) selected option (2) - Wednesday afternoon as a preferred opening time. 34.4 percent indicated a preference for Monday afternoon and 18.8 percent selected opening Tuesday, Thursday and Friday lunchtimes.

The West Gippsland Regional Library Corporation with funding assistance from the Bass Coast Shire completed a make over of the Phillip Island Library in November 2005. Residents and visitors to Cowes will find more space and a whole new layout with new carpet and circulation facilities making for a more comfortable visit to the library. Branch Manager is Ron Janetta, with support from Avril Frederiks.

Membership is free and members can borrow up to twenty items at a time, and access any of the 14 West Gippsland libraries across the region. Visit the website www.wgrlc.vic.gov.au to access electronic reference materials, magazine articles and newspapers AND place items 'on hold' anywhere in the region for you to pick up at your most convenient library service point.
