Latrobe City Announces Major Sponsorship Agreement For Golf Pro-AmLatrobe City this week announced it has signed a major sponsorship agreement with the Traralgon Golf Club to host the 2007 Latrobe City Carpet Country WIN TV Pro-Am. By Latrobe City Council - 28th November 2006 - Back to News Latrobe City mayor, Cr Lisa Price, explained that the annual event creates a great deal of attention and interest from both within and from outside Latrobe City.
"Coming into its sixteenth year, this event has become a major attraction within our municipality and not only engages our local community, but also attracts visitors from all over Australia," Cr Price said.
"Council recognises the significance of this event in Latrobe City’s annual events calendar, and acknowledges the social and economic benefits generated within our local community through this high-profile event," Cr Price said.
Cr Price said council has signed a two-year agreement with the Traralgon Golf Club to sponsor the Pro-Am.
"Latrobe City’s sponsorship of the event, which includes naming rights, reflects the event’s focus on engaging Latrobe City residents and the Pro-Am’s ability to attract visitors to the region.
"The Latrobe City Carpet Country Win TV Pro-Am is recognised as the most successful Pro-Am tournament in Victoria, and involves 250 participants. We are looking forward to working closely with the Traralgon Golf Club to assist with the planning and coordination of next year’s event, to ensure that it is bigger and better than ever," Cr Price said.
"This is another example of Latrobe City’s commitment towards strengthening our community through building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with local organisations, and assisting them to develop and maintain events that benefit our whole community," Cr Price added.
The 2007 Latrobe City Carpet Country WIN TV Pro-Am will be held Thursday 22 and Friday 23 February 2007 at the Traralgon Golf Club.
