‘Beginning Family History’ sessions on again

Back by popular demand, libraries throughout Latrobe City will hold ‘Beginning Family History’ information sessions for people wanting to know how to start finding out about their family’s past.

By Latrobe City Council - 6th April 2006 - Back to News

Latrobe City’s library systems coordinator, Claire Wood, said the sessions will focus on the seven simple steps which need to be taken to begin researching.

"These essential steps will help people to begin their family history journey and to show them the basic methods of researching family history. The sessions will also provide an overview of the family history resources that are available locally and via the internet," Ms Wood said.

The ‘Beginning Family History’ sessions will run at 3.30pm on Thursday 20 April at Morwell library; at 10.30am on Saturday 22 April at Moe library; and at 3.30pm on Sunday 30 April at Traralgon library.

For information about the sessions or to register attendance, please contact the Traralgon library, telephone 5176 3630.
