Mallacoota Golf Club gets $1.9M funding for redevelopment from federal governmentMallacoota Golf Club volunteers are redeveloping the course after receiving a $1.9 million government grant, including new greens, fairways, tee boxes, and a nature trail. The project will finish in mid-next year. By news@gippsland - 1st May 2023 - Back to News The volunteers at Mallacoota Golf Club are turning the Black Summer bushfires into a positive with a major redevelopment of the picturesque course. With the support of a $1.9 million government grant, the volunteers are undertaking a project that completely changes the course layout to maximise its ocean-side location.

Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester says the club members are making every dollar go a long way with improvements to the clubhouse already providing a boost for locals and visitors. "The course work depends on the growing season for grass to re-establish itself so the entire project won't be finished until the middle of next year but it's going to be worth the wait.
