Meeting community's needs

Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said, "Councils are incredibly excited for the young and young-at-heart to enjoy the revamped Wonthaggi Guide Park and Playspace. Outdoor recreation has huge physical and mental health benefits for all, while inspiring shared spaces nurture strong community connections. Wonthaggi's new Guide Park and Playspace draws upon extensive community consultation to meet those needs and far more, with elements reflecting the Shire's coal mining history and amazing natural environment."

"Guide Park will deepen our community's connection to nature, while enabling socialising in safe spaces, inspire young minds with creative challenges, and encourage increased exercise for free." Cr Whelan said.
