SEED Lakeside Community Garden creator Shae Wilson gets $59,500 federal grant to support social and emotional health
SEED Lakeside Community Garden in Sale will benefit from funding from the Federal Government.
Local MP Darren Chester said the grant was part of the Federal Government's funding of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal's Tackling Tough Times Together program. "SEED Lakeside Community Garden provides locals with an inclusive space for community engagement and to learn new skills," Mr Chester said.

Improving social and emotional health
Mr Chester said, "The $59,500 grant will support the activation and pathways project to improve social and emotional health and build resilience within the wider Sale community. The garden is an excellent project that welcomes all members of the community to engage in worthwhile projects and learn new skills and improve health and wellbeing. The Tackling Tough Times Together program is a rolling grants program and I encourage drought-affected communities to apply for the next open round of funding."
