Latrobe Local News: Expressions of Interest on the Marketing Advisory PanelExpressions of Interest are being sought from members of the community and business fraternity for membership on the Latrobe Valley Ministerial Taskforce Marketing Advisory Panel during the implementation phase. By Latrobe Shire - 13th March 2003 - Back to News Tell us your opinion See what others have said The Marketing Advisory Panel (MAP) was formed to assist with a recommendation from the Latrobe Valley Ministerial Taskforce that $1 million be allocated to develop and implement a marketing strategy for Latrobe Valley.
Chairperson of the Marketing Advisory Panel, Mr Richard Hancock, said that applicants should know Latrobe Valley well and also have a keen and enthusiastic work ethic.
"Panel members need a good understanding of the Latrobe Valley, and the capacity to work in a focussed and results orientated team. Some relevant marketing experience is desirable, but not essential," Mr Hancock said.
"Members need to have the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders within the community and be motivated to help improve the internal and external perceptions of the Latrobe Valley."
Membership on the Marketing Advisory Panel is voluntary and for a term of twelve months. The time commitment required for MAP membership may vary, but people interested will need to be prepared to commit to a minimum of two hours per fortnight, in and out of working hours.
Expressions of interest can be directed to Chris Buckingham, telephone 0417 159 733 by close of business, Friday 14 March 2003. For further information, the Latrobe Valley Marketing Communication Strategy Summary can be found at www.latrobe.vic.gov.au
