Baw Baw celebrates Harmony Day

When the Department of Immigration encouraged all Councils to become involved in Harmony Day, Australia’s largest national multicultural event, Baw Baw rose to the occasion.

Baw Baw Shire is holding a Harmony Day Picnic in the Park on Sunday 21 March 2004.

The event will be fun and informal, and will promote Baw Baw’s many successes as a multicultural society, as well as celebrating the respect, goodwill and understanding that exists between Australians of all backgrounds.

Proceedings will commence at 11.00am in Civic Park, Warragul.

All members of the public are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch for their family and friends.
