Public Talk On La Trobe’S Work At Gallery This FridayA public talk program on a series of sketches and watercolours by Charles Joseph La Trobe, which is currently being featured at the Latrobe Regional Gallery in Morwell, By Latrobe City Council - 12th December 2006 - Back to News will be conducted by Dianne Reilly at the Gallery this Friday 8 December at 10.30am.
Ms Reilly is the La Trobe Librarian at the State Library of Victoria and Secretary of the Charles Joseph La Trobe Society.
The exhibition Charles Joseph La Trobe – A Sketcher of No Mean Pretensions celebrates 50 years of the National Trust of Victoria and traces the development of the man who had a significant impact on the fledgling colony of Victoria. Many of the works selected are from his travels in Europe, America and Tasmania.
The exhibition will continue until 14 January 2007.
