The Marketing for Growth workshops and seminar, hosted by the Latrobe City Business Tourism Association (LCBTA), through the Department of Business and Innovation is aimed at business owners in the Latrobe Valley region.

Mr Northe said the seminar is a valuable resource for business owners who understand the basic principles of marketing, but would like to learn more.

"It is imperative that our local businesses thrive, as our local economy relies on the patronage by Latrobe Valley residents, and also those from wider Gippsland areas," he said.

"Through the workshops, business owners will learn how to launch new products successfully, how to conduct market research, how to keep customers coming back, and how to develop marketing strategies to keep businesses growing."

The workshop leader will be Carol Orrock, a management consultant with more than 25 years background in financial management, human relations, OHS, creative design and marketing, and web design.

Marketing for Growth will be held Tuesday 22 February 2011, from 5:30pm – 9:00pm at the Latrobe Regional Airport at $30 per person.
