Call to join Cobains Hall CommitteeThe Cobains Hall Committee is looking for some fresh faces from the local community to attend its Annual General Meeting on 12th October, and is hoping, in particular, to find someone to fill the secretary/treasurer role. By Wellington Shire Council - 4th October 2005 - Back to News The hall, constructed in the 1940s, is managed by the volunteer Committee, which comprises eight annually elected members and is owned by Wellington Shire Council.
Wellington’s Chief Executive Officer Lyndon Webb said: "The hall is a fantastic community facility which needs the support of the community to ensure that its use is continued for generations to come.
"I encourage members of the community to get involved in keeping this community asset alive by registering their interest in joining the Hall Committee at the Annual General Meeting."
