Levelling the Playing Field in Eastern VictoriaApplications now open for Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program. By Portal Admin - 1st March 2020 - Back to News Applications are now open for the second round of the Andrews Labor Government’s 2019-20 Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program.
The program, now in its third year, supports the delivery of sector initiatives that bring together communities to showcase and celebrate the role of women and girls and further gender equality through sport and active recreation.
Member for Eastern Victoria, Harriet Shing said that local sport and active recreation clubs are encouraged to identify events and initiatives that promote gender equality and apply.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available to eligible clubs and community groups across Victoria to establish more opportunities for women and girls at a grassroots level to participate and lead both on and off the field.
The Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program highlights the Labor Government’s ongoing commitment to gender equality across all levels of the Victorian sport and active recreation sector.
To date, the program has enabled more than 95 community sport and recreation organisations to host events ranging from come-and-try days to community forums and educational sessions.
The grants are part of the broader $7.2 million Change Our Game initiative aimed at levelling the playing field for women and girls in sport and recreation.
