By Bass Coast Shire Council - 5th April 2007 - Back to News

Farmers and farm-dependent businesses can now apply to CentreLink for six months EC income support.

Provided contact is made within two months, payments will be backdated to 23 March when the relief was announced.

If contact is delayed beyond two months claims will only be recognised from the date the claim is made.

Claims must be made to CentreLink. Further details are available from the CentreLink Drought Line on 13 23 16.

Further assistance on how to apply and how to complete the CentreLink forms is available from the Rural Financial Counselling Service on 5662 9928.
