Holiday Fun At Latrobe City LibrariesLooking for something entertaining, exciting and a tiny bit educational during the April school holidays? Look no further than Latrobe City libraries’ fun-filled entertainment program for children between five By Latrobe City - 25th March 2011 - Back to News and ten years of age.
Latrobe City coordinator libraries, Debbie Skinner, said that libraries are hosting activities designed to entertain school children over the break.
"Our libraries have again planned an action-packed program, aimed at providing children with a place to enjoy themselves within a safe environment. The two activities on offer are the Twisted Science Show and Circus in a Suitcase.
"Week one features the Twisted Science Show. This one-hour interactive show is jam-packed with exciting science including lots of colourful and noisy demonstrations. There is smoke, flames, hair-raising antics and a touch of magic. The Twisted Science Show is great entertainment.
"Week two features Circus in a Suitcase presented by accomplished actor, director, musician and circus performer Terry Cole. The 45-minute comedy-circus show will see children taken on a journey through the brilliant, and often chaotic, world of the circus. The variety of skills presented by clown Terry Cole is amazing and the show demonstrates the full scale of clowning in one clever package," Ms Skinner concluded.
The Twisted Science Show sessions will be held on Tuesday 12 April at Traralgon library from 10.30am and Morwell library from 1pm. On Wednesday 13 April, the show will be at Churchill library from 11.30am and Moe library from 2.30pm.
Circus in a Suitcase will take place on Wednesday April 20 at Traralgon library from 10.30am, Morwell library from 1pm and Moe library from 3pm.
Bookings are essential and tickets can be purchased at any Latrobe City service centre or library. Each activity costs $5 per child and pre-payment is required.
