Street art safari
In the main part of town, park the car and head through the streets on foot. Behind the Mitre 10 store, you will find a kaleidoscopic mural of a young girl, surrounded by butterflies and flowers. This beautiful work is by Refuz, who also created 'Brave New World' - an ode to the future and Aldous Huxley.
Next, check out 'Watch the Road' by Steve Bechaz, a fun piece depicting two senior citizens having a drag race on mobility scooters. This isn't Steve's only work - you will find a bunch of his moving and colourful murals throughout Moe.
Murals and wildlife
In central Moe, don't miss the flying shark mural by Oktostudio at the back of Shaw's Arcade, and the stunning portrait of a woman with light and shadow on her face by Damien Arena. As you head out of town, stop off at the Moe Botanical Gardens for a stroll under stately trees and through emerald-green grasses. While you are there, take a look at the nearby 'Wattle on the creek bank', a bright blue and pink mural by Melanie Caple. This uplifting work will boost your spirits.
Heading further east into Newborough, you will start to notice some adorable faces peeking out from old bridges and railway buildings. The town has been painted with endangered animal species, including possums, wombats and wading birds. See how many you can spot.
Visit Moe Botanical Gardens for peaceful walks and Melanie Caple's bright mural, then spot endangered animals painted around Newborough bridges and buildings
