Latrobe City The Next ‘Hot Spot’ For Property Investment Residential Property On Sunday 24 April Sky News Business channel showcased Latrobe City on their Property Success program. By Latrobe City - 27th April 2011 - Back to News Property Success with Margaret Lomas is aired nationally and highlights an investment hot spot to a dedicated audience of property investors across Australia each Sunday.
Latrobe City Mayor, councillor Darrell White, was interviewed by program host, property investment guru and author, Margaret Lomas about the bright prospects for our region in The Town Spotlight segment.
Cr White explained that only 15 hot spots are identified each year.
"This is an exciting recognition for Latrobe City and comes off the back of the recent land releases in our municipality that, in themselves, present huge opportunities in the region.
"The program highlighted that Latrobe City is a great place to invest due to a number of factors including property values, rental returns, universities, schools and infrastructure in the region and our close proximity to Melbourne," Cr White said.
"There are numerous major projects ongoing around the municipality such as the Moe and Traralgon Activity Centre Plans, as well as many other smaller infrastructure projects that signal to potential investors that Latrobe City is a municipality already growing and prepared to grow further to meet the needs of a diverse and highly-skilled population base.
"We know that Latrobe City is a solid place to invest, and the recognition of Ms Lomas, and her program, have now cemented this knowledge in the minds of investors.
