Latrobe City Council is delighted with the huge response to its recent ‘have a say’ on fees and charges, with more than 600 surveys completed. Feedback from the survey will now be collated for presentation to Council at the end of June.

Latrobe City Council’s 2016/17 Community Grants Program are now open and a series of ‘hands-on’ sessions are being held to help community groups prepare their online applications.

Latrobe City launches its first Literary Festival
Latrobe City Council is hosting its first literary festival, featuring a writer’s workshop and a series of author talks, on Sunday 29 May from 10am at the Traralgon Library. The free event has been scheduled as part Creative Gippsland’s Come and Play all of May art program and has been supported by Writers Victoria and the Grace Marion Wilson Trust.

Photographs explore Splinters of the Mind’s Eye at Gallery
Upstairs at Latrobe Regional Gallery you will find a darkened room, with photographs on the walls lit dramatically to create a cavernous space. These works by the much admired local artist Neale Stratford, feature action figures and dolls so well crafted, that that could be easily mistaken for real people.
