Latrobe City Offers Program For Business Growth

The impacts of the global financial crisis and recent bushfires are being felt by businesses across the municipality. Now is a great time for businesses to reassess their business plans and operations into the future.

By Latrobe City Council - 21st April 2009 - Back to News

Latrobe City Council will commence a ‘Grow Your Business Program’ for small to medium enterprises in April. Funded by the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, the program is designed to provide planning and management services and advice and support to assist firms to develop strategies that will improve their business.

Latrobe City’s manager economic development, Geoff Hill, said that the program is open to firms with a manufacturing or services base.

"It will involve a two-day business planning workshop followed by two one-on-one sessions. The program is a fantastic opportunity to learn about business planning and get assistance in implementing strategies in your business.

"Sea Eagle Consulting, a consultancy operated by Trevor and Susie Colvin have been engaged to conduct the program on behalf of Latrobe City Council. Trevor and Susie have worked in their own small business for a number of years, and will provide great insight to small business owners on a wide range of business planning issues," Mr Hill said.

The program will be run on the 27 and 28 April 2009. As government funding is provided for the program, the total cost for the program will be approximately $475 per participant. A program such as this can cost up to $2000. This program represents real value in quality training for small to medium enterprise owners."
