The spirit of Christmas capturedThe finalists in Council’s 2004 Christmas card competition were announced by the Mayor Cr Heather Bligh at the Leongatha Library on Friday. By South Gippsland Shire Council - 8th November 2004 - Back to News The competition was promoted to local school children through the West Gippsland regional libraries and offered three age group categories. The top contenders in each category were presented with their prizes of cinema tickets in front of an audience of proud parents and friends.
The final card selection will be made by a graphic designer this week.

"This is the second year we have run the competition and it is a delightful way to add a very personal stamp to our Christmas message," said Cr Heather Bligh. "The children put so much effort into them and it’s very clear that we have some budding artists among them."
"We very much appreciate the support for the competition given by the West Gippsland Regional Library Corporation and its staff," added the Mayor.
