FReeZA Youth Event Wellington Shire Council is pleased to announce the return of FreeZA - entertainment aimed at the shire’s youth - this Friday 28 May at the Sale Memorial Hall from 7.30-11.30 pm. By news@gippsland - 24th May 2004 - Back to News The evening will feature live musical entertainment from local bands Foist, Quarterstone and The Alliance.
FReeZA is a State Government initiative supported by Wellington Shire Council and is run by a committee comprised of local young people who take an active role in organising and running social events.
Tickets are $8 at the door or pre-sale tickets are $6 available at Leading Edge Music Sale (5144 4063), Heyfield Community Resource Centre (5148 2100), Rosedale Newsagency (5199 2221), Maffra Fusion Video (5147 1826) and Stratford Authorised Newsagency (5145 6225).
Said Wellington’s Mayor Jeff Amos: "FReeZA not only provides an invaluable social outlet for Wellington’s youth but it also offers the opportunity to enable young people to develop a range of organisational and leadership skills. The council is proud to support initiatives which bring learning opportunities and safe recreation activities to our young people."
Buses will run from Heyfield, Maffra, Stratford and Rosedale at a cost of $2. Bus times and further information is available at ticket outlets or by telephoning Wellington Shire’s Youth Development Officer David Roberts on 1300 366 244.
