Latrobe City mayor, Councillor Darrell White, said that Council initiated a review of the existing strategy in recognition of a changing business environment and to assist in guiding Council in its efforts to retain and grow a sustainable and vibrant local economy.

"Latrobe City is one of Victoria’s four largest and major regional centres and a key objective for Council is to continue to enhance job creation and diversify our economic base. The purpose of the Economic Sustainability Strategy is to provide the framework to enable this to be achieved," Cr White said.
