Youth Leadership Camp Available To Wellington YouthWellington Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from the shire’s youth who would like to attend the Youth Leadership Camp to be held at Camp Coonawarra on 29 & 30 June. By Wellington Shire Council - 21st June 2005 - Back to News Limited places are available for young people between the ages of 14 -19 who have demonstrated a commitment to the community, currently participate in youth activities or committees, and are committed to developing their leadership skills.
The camp offers a series of workshops and presentations about developing leadership skills, running meetings and the roles of committees. It will also provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss youth issues from around the shire and identify possible solutions, and look at the establishment of a model for youth participation across Wellington.
Interested youth need to apply by 22 June for their chance to be involved.

Said Wellington’s Mayor Peter Gault: "This camp is a welcome addition to the many youth services, programs and facilities already offered by the council for our younger residents. This is the first time we have offered a camp of this nature and we invite all youth who are interested in this event to put their names forward and become involved."
