Easing of COVID-19 restrictions from midnight 22 April 2022 welcomed by Wellington Shire Council
Wellington Shire Council has welcomed the State Government announcement that Covid-19 pandemic restrictions will be eased as of midnight tonight.
The easing of restrictions means check-ins and proof of vaccination status will no longer be required for any members of the public attending any Council buildings or facilities, including:
- Customer service centres
- Libraries
- Port of Sale precinct including The Wedge and Wellington Centre
- Aqua Energy
Other facilities with eased restrictions are:
- Gippsland Regional Sports Complex
- Gippsland Regional Livestock Exchange
- Our Council owned, but community managed facilities such as halls, sporting grounds
Face masks are not required in any of these venues, however are recommended in circumstances where physical distancing isn't possible.
