Rush down to Stadium 34 for a super cool Skate Party

Latrobe City’s Team Leader - Youth Services, Susan Lloyd, said that young people shouldn’t be put off by the date of the event.

"Friday the Thirteenth will be a lucky night for all the young people of Latrobe City who want to rage. There will be skating or rollerblading as well as organised skate games. A top local DJ will be blasting music out all night. It will be a great night of fun, laughs and give-aways," Ms Lloyd said.

"At just $10 door entry, the party is a great way for young people to spend an evening. Stadium 34 is a fantastic local venue. By attending the Rush Underage Skate Party, young people will get an idea of the many other activities on offer at the venue, such as hockey, netball and other sporting events," Ms Lloyd explained.

FReeZA is a state government funded program that offers young people a safe environment to have a good time without drugs and alcohol.

"FReeZA encourages young people to help in all areas of organising, promoting and participating in the events, but we do have adult supervision too," Ms Lloyd explained.

"The Stadium staff will be available for fitting roller-blades, and attending kiosk services. Latrobe City Youth Services workers and Youth Action Centre staff, as well as a number of youth agencies will be present. Red Cross first aid instructors will also be on hand along with qualified security staff," Ms Lloyd said.

"If you are aged between 12 and 17 years, Rush Underage Skate Party is for you. It is going to be a lot of fun, so come along with your friends and check it out for yourselves," Ms Lloyd concluded.
