Celebration Of Education

Bass Coast Shire Council is hosting a reception for the education sector to recognise the achievements of education leaders in the Shire.

What: Bass Coast Shire Council is hosting a reception for the education sector to recognise the achievements of education leaders in the Shire.

When: From 6.00pm-8.00pm on Thursday 28 May 2009.

Where: Bass Coast Civic Centre, 76 McBride Avenue, Wonthaggi (entry via Baillieu Street)

Who: Principals and School Council Presidents from across the Shire, Councillors and Council staff.

Guest speaker Phil Egan – Senior Lecturer of Indigenous Studies at Melbourne University and former Richmond footballer,

Why: Council acknowledges the importance of quality education for current and future generations and the continuing economic viability for the Shire. It has been working with the education sector on many projects and is hosting a reception to recognise the achievements of education professionals.
