Outdoor pools opening for bumper seasonLatrobe Leisure outdoor pools in Moe, Yallourn North and Traralgon will open on Saturday 26 November for a bumper summer season. By Portal Admin - 17th November 2016 - Back to News Latrobe City Council’s mayor, Councillor Kellie O’Callaghan, said that changes to the opening hours gave more options to those who want to swim whatever the weather.
"Council voted to trial extended operating hours at the Traralgon Outdoor Pool so the facility will now open 10am to 8pm every day from 26 November to 13 March 2017, whatever the weather.
"Our other pools, at Yallourn North and Moe, will operate temperature-based opening hours, with guaranteed hours of 3pm to 5pm daily, but longer hours during peak season, on weekends and on days of higher temperatures," Cr O’Callaghan said.
"For those interested in fitness and exercise the Traralgon Outdoor Pool will be open for early morning lap swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6am to 8am.
"Obviously, if there is inclement weather, such as thunderstorms, we may close the pools, and during the latter half of the season, the pools may be booked for school carnivals. Keep an eye on our website for all opening times, entry fees, conditions of entry and pool closures," Cr O’Callaghan concluded.
You can find a voucher for use at any of Latrobe City’s outdoor pools in the Link magazine to be published on Monday 28 November.
