Moe Library to celebrate 20 year anniversaryMoe Library is celebrating 20 years in its Kirk Street premises on Friday 8 August and members of public are invited to an afternoon tea to mark the occasion. By Latrobe City Council - 7th August 2003 - Back to News Latrobe City Mayor, Councillor Graeme Middlemiss, said that the day would include a number of activities to help celebrate the past two decades.
"A lot has happened over the past 20 years, so as there will be an exhibition of photos and memorabilia displaying the changes over the years. Members of the public are invited to share in the fun, on this special day," Cr Middlemiss said.
Moe Library Co-ordinator, Noeline Grayden said that there would be activities for all visitors and an evening reunion for staff members.
"For the children there will be face painting activities at Storytime and we will be giving away prizes to lucky members selected during the afternoon. On Friday night, staff both past and present will be attending a reunion event to reminisce," Ms Grayden added.
"We would love to see as many people as possible come to the library and celebrate this occasion with us. The activities start at 2pm, so we extend a warm welcome to all to join us at Moe library," Ms Grayden concluded.
