Latrobe City’s children’s services library officer, Noeline Grayden, said that on Wednesday 26 September the libraries in Moe, Morwell and Traralgon would be running a clown puppet-making workshop.

"It will give the children a chance to work with their hands and use their creativity to make the clown puppets using a variety of materials," Ms Grayden explained.

The clown puppet-making workshop will be at Moe Library from 10.30am until 11.30am; Morwell Library from 1pm until 2 pm, and Traralgon Library from 3pm until 4pm. Sessions cost $5 per child and will be limited to 30 children. Children under the age of 6 years may require parental help.

"In week two, children will be entertained by ‘Red the Clown’, in a 45 minute interactive show with heaps of audience participation, magic, juggling and unicycling. Red has performed extensively and has the skills, veracity and experience to entertain audiences of all ages," Ms Grayden said.

Red will perform at the Traralgon Library at 10.30am and Morwell Library at 1pm on Thursday 4 October. The ‘Red the clown’ show costs $5 per child with limited numbers at both libraries.

A special clown story time will be held at Moe Library on Wednesday 3 October at 10.30am.

Bookings for both activities are a must and pre-payment is required. For further information or to register for activities you can contact the Moe library, telephone 5135 8350; the Morwell Library, telephone 5128 5436; or the Traralgon Library, telephone 5176 3630.

The Churchill library will be closed during these school holidays as it only operates during school term time.
