Combined NRE And CFA Display At New Information CentreWorking together to keep lives, property and the environment safe By DNRE - 28th October 2002 - Back to News The newly opened Information Centre at the Traralgon NRE office is showing a combined display of information on both NRE and CFA firefighting units. In the lead up to what is potentially a bad fire season, this display recognises the contribution of both agencies to our fire suppression teams and helps to inform the public about fire.
While the CFA is responsible for fires on private property, NRE is responsible for fires on public land, so at the interface of the two, these agencies must work cooperatively together to keep lives, property and the environment safe.
This is the first of a number of themed displays at the new Traralgon NRE office and the public are invited to go and see what’s on and ask the friendly staff any questions they may have about the particular topic displayed.
There is plenty of free information available, access to NRE’s website, posters, books, maps and other resources.
