Community's volunteer fabric
Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Kellie O'Callaghan said the event is the perfect chance for those wanting to learn what volunteering options are available. "Volunteering is part of the fabric of our community, over eight thousand people volunteer within Latrobe City. The volunteer work our community participates in does not go unnoticed, without them, our vibrant community would not be the same, from parks and reserves all the way to caring and assistance."
"The expo provides a great opportunity for those considering a volunteer role to head along and learn more about a range of roles that are on offer. Volunteering provides increased health and wellbeing outcomes for all involved. By taking part your contributions make Latrobe City a great place to live and visit."
"Around 30 community groups will be in attendance, all who have something different to offer from a volunteering perspective. You are sure to find a volunteering group that you are passionate about," said the Mayor.
