Councillor Michael Whelan re-elected as Mayor and Cr Rochelle Halstead as the new Deputy Mayor of Bass Coast ShireCouncillors voted unanimously for the term of Mayor and Deputy Mayor to remain at 12 months. By news@gippsland - 16th November 2022 - Back to News A new Deputy Mayor, Cr Rochelle Halstead was also elected unopposed. In congratulating Cr Halstead on her election as Deputy Mayor for 2022/23, Cr Michael Whelan also thanked Cr Leticia Laing for her contribution to the role over the past year. "Congratulations to Cr Halstead who continues to serve our community with infectious enthusiasm, passion and a drive for results".
