Grants available for 2017 National Youth Week events
Grants of up to $2000 are available for young people to work in partnership with local governments or community groups to organise events that celebrate youth.
Member for Morwell Russell Northe has encouraged young people aged 12-25 across the Morwell electorate to apply for the funding.National Youth Week is a joint initiative of the Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments which will be held from 31 March to 9 April 2017.
"We have so many amazing young people achieving great things right across the Morwell electorate every day," Mr Northe said.
National Youth Week aims to recognise those young people and give them the opportunity to organise events to celebrate with their peers and take pride in their achievements.
"I encourage all community organisations working with young people across the electorate to apply for a 2017 National Youth Week grant.
"Ideally it would be great to see every town in the electorate celebrating their young people," Mr Northe said.
